The finalists of the “Upward Motion” contest received grants amounting to 500 thousand rubles

The awarding ceremony took place right on the ice of Lake Baikal.

Kirill Timofeev, Executive Director of the +7 Fund, met with the finalists before awarding the prizes. The weather conditions were as fierce as the competition, however both the ice and people withstood everything. The contest was launched in Irkutsk last year during which there were considered projects to improve the living conditions in the region, and the contest winners were determined based on the results of three voting stages. These projects include: “ArchDvizhenie 2.0”, “School Bike Project”, #SPASAIANEBOLTAI and “Morphology” – half a million rubles was allocated to develop each of them.

“Oh! Workshops” and “Babrbook” projects got special prizes from Timofey Kurgin, the founder of the Fund. A three-meter-long festival logo was made of Baikal lake ice specially for the awarding ceremony.

Let us recall that the competition started with the “Upward Motion” festival, held in Irkutsk on October 26.
